WordPress Archives Pagination

“post_nav_link() will let you paginate WordPress archives”

WordPress - Pagination of Archives Pages.

If you’re wondering why your archives section doesn’t paginate you might be in need of the post_nav_link() page from the WordPress Codex. Its simply cut and paste code from this page to have the default Kubrick pagination happen.

My only question is why isn’t it actually built into the template in the first place? I mean obviously if you have 30 entries for May you would like your archives to be accessed completely and not just the last 10 or whatever that you’ve selected for your main page. That aside its an easy solution to find and unless you receive a querying phone call asking you this one you mightn’t realise that its something the default WordPress isn’t doing for you.
